Our Roof Tear-Off Process
Step 1: Tear-Off
Tear off the existing roofing materials down to the wood decking. Thoroughly inspect the wood decking for any signs of damage, rot, or deterioration. Replace any damaged sheathing or plank boards to ensure a solid, level base for the new roof.
Step 2: Install Phase I - Vapor Barrier & Substrate
Install a half-inch fiberboard or equivalent substrate, which will act as a vapor barrier and provide a smooth surface for the roofing materials. During this phase, ensure that the roof is properly pitched and sloped to allow for adequate drainage, preventing water from pooling on the surface.
